What do the numbers on the Air Quality Indicator mean?

The Air Quality Indicator shows the PM2.5 levels, which measure the concentration of fine particulate matter in the air (particles smaller than 2.5 microns). These particles can be harmful when inhaled, as they can penetrate deep into the lungs and enter the bloodstream. Here’s how to interpret the numbers:

  • 0 to 70: Good air quality. The air is clean and safe to breathe, and the LED light will show green.
  • 70 to 150: Moderate air quality. There is a noticeable amount of fine particles in the air, and the LED light will turn orange.
  • 150 and above: Poor air quality. The air has a high concentration of harmful fine particles, and the LED light will turn red. The maximum reading is 500.
